The team should be flying over Canada presently somewhere up in the cold land, pray the trip is going well for both flights, the anxiety, of being stuck in a plane for 14 -15 hours can seem endless. Then we pray for the trip from Chicago to go smoothly and the welcome home to be sweet!
We left Siem Reap by bus this morning at 9:30, after a delicious breakfast at Ivy Garden Outdoor Cafe!
The bus ride was enjoyable, cool and quite comfortable. The view from the bus is fabulous, as you can see much more clearly than the from the taxi; possibly because you cannot look ahead so we did not see the conflicts of narrowly missing on coming traffic, or sideswiping as we passed other traffic, so we just enjoyed scenery! or slept some of the way at least Rina and I did, Ed is not good at sleeping other than in a bed...he doesn't know what he is missing out on :)
We arrived back in Battambang 3 1/2 hours later, walked to the Pastor's House and acquired our bikes to head back to our home for the month, it was good to be back in familiar territory, felt like we were home!
Relaxed, refreshed, ate some yogurt, banana chips, a dish of cereal; then we headed to the pool! AWESOME! That was amazing, I even slept by the pool for a while so it was a tremendously relaxing day, much needed!
Yesterday we met some people in Siem Reap that are coming to Battambang to see about YWAM, that was no coincidence, it is so amazing how God works! One of the ladies gave me a card that she felt compelled to write and give to me ... the picture was a leaf and the words said "finish what was started", she said maybe you know what that means...wow! God even speaks thru total strangers, angels unaware??? God is faithful, are we??
Ed and I walked to Secret Cafe, it is on the block of our Hotel, and ate our evening meal, while we were sitting there a herd of cattle walked by, very peacefully thru the crazy traffic! yes we are in Cambodia! It is awesome!
