We are all in Battambang, ok except Marty!

Greetings it was a very long day for the team, after a short night of sleep, following a very, very long flight, the team woke to have a great Cambodian breakfast! We relaxed a bit then began the journey to Battambang via 2 vans and one taxi! We are a big group!

I cannot speak for each of them, but I for myself venturing thru Cambodia in a van with 11 people taking in Cambodia for the first time it is priceless! Just experiencing how they navigate travel in itself is an experience! The countryside, the villages, the animals, the people, the various types of vehicles, the houses, the schools, the fields, each unique!

We arrived at Battambang, barely in time for lunch so no settling in, we walked together from the Pastors house, their home for the next 9 days, to Base 1 where we eat our meals. We were greeted with great applause from the staff and students a great Khmer welcome! Lunch was great then we ventured around a little bit until Anna, of Cafe Eden arrived for our orientation to YWAM, to Khmer culture advise for us to best shine our light without offense to their culture and religion. As with everything there are right and wrong ways to let our light shine for God's glory!

Following the orientation we launched off in three tuk tuks to have a small tour of Battambang, mostly the probable places we will be working from, or YWAM base's for reaching out to Battambang. Such as the School of Biblical Studies (SBS), Jeevit's House, & Cafe Eden. Then we walked back and took in a bit of the market, back to have Garth (Battambang YWAM Base Director), gave us a tour then of the Youth Center where they offer English, Computer and various other classes that are accredited thru the education department of Cambodia.

After supper at the base it was back to the Pastor's House for room assignments and settling in for hopefully a good night of sleep for everyone. Then we walked back to the Hotel, a cool shower and some relaxation will be a blessing for all this evening!

We are now a team, with much to do, the schedule looks busy; so pray for great team unity, pray for wisdom and great accomplishments for God'a kingdom!

Blessings to all, we ask prayers for our entire team each precious individual that felt called to do God's work in a country foreign to each of us!! God is in CONTROL!!
